51�Թ����App and Bute Council has welcomed today’s news that it will receive up to £20 million of capital funding from the UK Government for local growth projects in the area.

A new fully-accessible, fuel-efficient, 51�Թ����App and Bute Council bus is taking on a route in Campbeltown to help travellers get to where they need to be.

Work has started on a project in Campbeltown that will see residents benefit from better walking and cycling routes along the town’s Cutting and Quarry Green.

Community Food Groups across 51�Թ����App and Bute have benefitted from a share of £57,453 after councillors agreed to provide them with unspent monies from the Scottish Government’s LACER Fund (Local Authority Covid Economic Recovery).

Following feedback from local communities in Mid 51�Թ����App, 51�Թ����App and Bute Council has commissioned a team of consultants to develop a detailed design for a proposed new route that will make it safer and easier for people to choose to walk and cycle between Lochgilphead Front Green and the Crinan Canal.

The £70 million rural growth deal for 51�Թ����App and Bute will progress following a spending review by the UK Government.
