The latest round of 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Council’s Strategic Events and Festivals Fund opens for applications on Monday 7 October.

A new Community Hub in Kilcreggan opens on 1 October, making it easier for residents to access a range of council resources and information.

Fourteen community projects in 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute have received a share of £365,000 from the Scottish Government's Community-Led Local Development Fund (CLLD).

Helping to sustain small businesses and community organisations, making 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute more investor-ready, and improving the area’s towns and villages as places to live, work and visit - these are just some of the benefits from £45 million of investment secured by 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Council.

Council measures to encourage and expand the use of Gaelic are continuing to deliver benefits for young people and communities across 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute.

Priorities and plans are already set out to keep 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute open for business over the coming winter and these were approved by the council’s Environment, Development and Infrastructure committee on 12 September.

Households across 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute are doing their bit to help save money, protect services and support climate-friendly measures by recycling, but recent studies by Zero Waste Scotland show we could all still do a bit more.

The council’s Environment, Development and Infrastructure Committee agreed on Thursday 12 September to pursue full funding for its ferry service as a way of best meeting the needs of island communities.

Providing a renewed focus to celebrate and deliver on 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute’s key strengths and embrace the opportunities of its rural, natural resource-based economy – this is the purpose of the council’s revised Economic Strategy Action Plan for 2024 – 2027.

Connecting communities digitally remains a priority for 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Council as it continues to support and develop ongoing relationships with the Scottish Government, contractors, communities, and other external partners to ensure the digital future of 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute is at the forefront of discussions.
