Council budget sets budget that invests in roads and social care.

51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Council today agreed to hold a special meeting on 7 March to allow sufficient time to consider and scrutinise reports that support a new £43 million 2-18 Campus on Mull.

51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Council is inviting people in Mid 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp to give their views on detailed design proposals for an improved walking, wheeling and cycling route between the Lochgilphead Front Green and the Crinan Canal.

Councillor Jim Lynch, Leader of 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Council set out the challenge as the council prepares to set its budget next week.

Additional traffic management measures are now in place in Campbeltown.

Five key infrastructure and community projects have been identified for potential funding via the UK Government's Community Regeneration Partnership Funding (CRP) initiative.

Thousands of households have already benefitted from the 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Flexible Food and Fuel Fund (FFFF) and now, due to its success, councillors have agreed to extend the scheme until March 2026.

Investment plans for a range of community activities across 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute as part of the final year of the UK Government's Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) have been approved by councillors.

Work will begin next month to restore the fifth building to benefit from the Lochgilphead Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS).
