The Love Local 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Gift Card scheme has help to generate almost £1 million within the 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute economy since its launch in 2021.
The Council introduced the scheme as part of its COVID-19 economic recovery plan, to support local businesses, boost local spending, and provide a secure, community-based way to deliver targeted public funding, including cost-of-living assistance.
At a meeting of the Council’s Policy and Resources Committee, councillors heard how the scheme has helped to enable more than £939,000 spend and secured the participation of more than 350 local businesses.
The Love Local 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Gift Card will run until October 2027, so there is still plenty of time for people to enjoy a range of fantastic local products, services and experiences on offer from across the area.
The Council’s Policy Lead for Business Development, Councillor Math Campbell-Sturgess, said:
