How the grant process works

| 3 | Appoint an architect or building surveyor with conservation experience | |
| 4 | Agree proposed works with architect / building surveyor and CARS project officer | |
| 5 | Get three competitive quotes for works | |
| 6 | Obtain Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent, Advertising Consent, Building Warrant where required | View our Planning and Building Standards information > |
| 7 | Submit completed Dunoon CARS grant application along with 3 competitive quotes to CARS project officer | |
| 8 | The CARS project officer will review the application and submit to the Bute and Cowal committee for approval | View the minutes of the Bute and Cowal Area Committee> |
| 9 | Applicants will be informed of the outcome of grant applications as swiftly as possible |
