General Waste - Cowal Limited Access 24th June
Recycling collections serviced by the limited access vehicle could not be completed on 24th June due to a breakdown. Please leave your bins out for collection, as we hope to return for your bins on Friday 26th June. The affected areas are:

General Waste and Recycling - Isle of Mull
Due to a vehicle breakdown, this morning the Scenic route – Salen domestic and commercial general waste - will not be collected today (Wednesday). This has now been rearranged for Friday 26th June. The Scenic route recycling, due on Thursday 25th June, will also be delayed and will now be collected on Sunday 28th June.

EV Charging Network - Faults - 17th June 2026
Electric Vehicle Charger Faults
We have some faults across our network of EV chargers at the moment. We are working with our maintenance contractors to have these repaired as soon as possible.

Road and Footway Closure - East Clyde Street, Helensburgh
The Council is making arrangements for the diversions below to be put in place and for ‘Business as usual’ signs to be put up to support businesses in the street affected.

East bound vehicles
Diverted from West Clyde Street left onto William Street and then right onto West Princes Street. Continuing along West Princes Street / East Princes Street turn right onto Glenfinlas Street and left onto East Clyde Street
West Bound vehicles
Diverted from East Clyde Street right onto Charlotte Street and then left onto East Princes Street. Continuing along East Princes Street / West Princes Street turn left onto James Street and right onto West Clyde Street
East bound pedestrians
Diverted from West Clyde Street left onto Sinclair Street and then right onto East Princes Street. Continuing along East Princes Street turn right onto Maitland Street and left onto East Clyde Street
West bound pedestrians

Temporary road closure - Ardencraig Road (Bute)
Due to subsidence on a section of Ardencraig Road, a temporary closure has been put in place.
An update will be provided once a full assessment has taken place.
Pedestrian access may be limited when work is ongoing.

Diversion via A849 Kinloch - Craignure - Salen
Barge Court - Helensburgh - Streetlighting
We are aware of an issue affecting a number of street lights on Barge Court, Helensburgh. The fault is linked to an underground cable and we therefore require contractor assistance. We have secured a contractor and aim to commence works w/c 11th or 18th May
Road Closure B8016 - commencing 9th March 2026
Scottish Water will be undertaking a watermain upgrade along the B8016 at the River Laggan Road Bridge. Work is scheduled to begin on the 9th of March 2026 and is expected to take approximately three months to complete.
Due to the nature and location of the works, a section of B8016 will be fully closed throughout the duration of the project.
Postcode search not working on payment portal
There is currently an ongoing issue with the postcode look-up on the payment portal. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Our provider is looking into this.
A83 Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead - open under traffic signal control
The A83 Lochnell Street re-opened this afternoon (24 December) under traffic signal control.
Parking restrictions on Lorne Street, Union Street and Manse Brae have now been revoked.
