Helensburgh & Lomond - Limited Access Recycling & General Waste 29/04/26
Due to the breakdown of our limited access vehicle we are unable to collect general waste and recycling bins on the limited access routes.
We are trying to source another vehicle to catch up on missed collections, please leave your bins presented. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

- Recycling Wednesday 29/04/26 – Portincaple, Loch Long, Arrochar, Tarbet, Helensburgh (limited access areas)

EV Charging Network - Faults - 29.04.26
Electric Vehicle Charger Faults
We have some faults across our network of EV chargers at the moment. We are working with our maintenance contractors to have these repaired as soon as possible.
The faults and some details are listed below, faults should be reported to Scottish Power on 0800 001 5234

Chargers with faults
- 52304 Bank Street, Bowmore - SWARCO are attending 23.03.26 weather permitting
- 51136 Lorne Street, Lochgilphead. SWARCO are awaiting parts, there are other chargers at this location
- 61622 Corran Halls, Oban - awaiting an engineer, there are other chargers at this location
Street Lighting - Crosshill Avenue, Campbeltown
There is a section fault on Crosshill Avenue. We require assistance with excavation work and this has been scheduled for w/c 11th May.
Isle of Luing - commercial & domestic refuse collections 29/04/26
Due to a vehicle breakdown we are unable to carry out general waste and recycling collections due this week on the Isle of Luing.
We are working to find a resolution to carry out these collections and will provide an update as soon as possible.

Mid-51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp - recycling awkward access route - UPDATED 29/04/26
Due to a vehicle breakdown we were unable to collect recycling scheduled for collection along the Mid-51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp awkward access route on Thursday 23rd April.
***UPDATE 29/04/26 - We are still working to find a resolution to carry out these collections, please keep your bin at it's collection point and we will provide a further update as soon as possible.

Temporary closure - Lochgilphead Customer Service Point
Lochgilphead Customer Service Point will be closed on Friday 8th May and will re-open on Monday 11th May. Telephone and online services are still available.
Glass collection - Bunessan, Isle of Mull - UPDATED 29/04/26
Due to ongoing vehicle breakdowns, the glass collection due in Bunessan today, 22nd April, will not take place.
***UPDATE 29/04/26 - This collection will now take place on Friday 1st May.

Islay & Jura - General Waste Collections UPDATED 27/04/26
Due to a mechanical issue with the refuse collection vehicle, we have been unable to complete the full general waste collection route today, 27th April.
***UPDATE - the vehicle has been repaired and general waste collections will resume tomorrow (28/04/26). Any bins that were missed today will now be collected on Thursday 30th April.

Lismore - Refuse Collections 27/04/26
Due to a vehicle breakdown, Lismore bin collections will not take place as scheduled on Monday 27th April.

Diversion via A849 Kinloch - Craignure - Salen
Barge Court - Helensburgh - Streetlighting
We are aware of an issue affecting a number of street lights on Barge Court, Helensburgh. The fault is linked to an underground cable and we therefore require contractor assistance. We have secured a contractor and aim to commence works w/c 11th or 18th May
Cliad Recycling Centre, Coll 09/04/26
Cliad Recycling Centre is only able to accept white goods and sofas (no general waste) until further notice. This is due to issues with the ferry which means the site is unable to be serviced.
An update will be provided as soon as normal service can resume.

Temporary road closure - Ardencraig Road (Bute)
Due to subsidence on a section of Ardencraig Road, a temporary closure has been put in place.
An update will be provided once a full assessment has taken place.
Pedestrian access is available.
Road Closure B8016 - commencing 9th March 2026
Scottish Water will be undertaking a watermain upgrade along the B8016 at the River Laggan Road Bridge. Work is scheduled to begin on the 9th of March 2026 and is expected to take approximately three months to complete.
Due to the nature and location of the works, a section of B8016 will be fully closed throughout the duration of the project.
Postcode search not working on payment portal
There is currently an ongoing issue with the postcode look-up on the payment portal. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Our provider is looking into this.
A83 Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead - open under traffic signal control
The A83 Lochnell Street re-opened this afternoon (24 December) under traffic signal control.
Parking restrictions on Lorne Street, Union Street and Manse Brae have now been revoked.
