51�Թ����App and Bute Council is encouraging people to boost the economy by choosing local and supporting businesses the length and breadth of the area, from our mainland towns and villages to our island communities.

Anyone in Oban this Saturday (13 June) should head to the town centre at around 1.15pm when mariners from the Royal Navy’s Zulu Squadron will march from Station Square to North Pier car park.

Calling all keen conservationists – this is your chance to learn about the skills needed to conserve the bronze and granite that make up some of the artwork found within Helensburgh’s award-winning Outdoor Museum, in Colquhoun Square.

Proposals will move forward later this year inviting councillors to agree to a statutory consultation on the potential closure of Furnace Primary School.

A statutory public consultation will seek views on relocating the current Tobermory 2-18 Campus to a new purpose-built 2-18 campus school building.

The Provost of 51�Թ����App and Bute, Councillor Dougie Philand, has paid tribute to his former colleague, Donnie MacMillan BEM, who passed away on 28 May 2026.
