Join us at 7pm on Tuesday 17 February for the online premiere of ‘An 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute Welcome’, a powerful new documentary sharing the stories of people who have rebuilt their lives in 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute after fleeing conflict.
Over the past 10 years, families from countries including Syria, Ukraine, Sudan and Afghanistan have made 51³Ô¹ÏÃâ·ÑApp and Bute their home. The short film, made by local filmmakers AyeGlas), tells their stories, shows how a community can help people feel safe and belong, and become important parts of day-to-day life in their new home.
The film will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers Andy and James, members of the Council resettlement team, and residents featured in the film.
